Pass Plus is a course that has been designed by the DSA for people who have passed their practical driving test to enable them to get more experience at a wide range of situations as well as guidance from a qualified driving instructor as to how to deal with them. The course lasts for a minimum of 6 hours. The following 6 subjects are covered on the course:
- motorway driving,
- dual carriagway,
- country roads,
- night driving,
- town driving and
- driving in adverse weather conditions.
There is no formal test at the end of the Pass plus course but your instructor needs to sign off that you have completed each module to a satisfactory standard. On competion of the course to a satisfactory standard, you will receive a pass plus certificate. Taking Pass Plus can also save you money on your car insurance with a number of driving schools.
